I was always a health and fitness enthusiast but never used nutritional and dietary supplements and in my ignorance, thought they were only recommended by "quacks". So she gave me several prescription creams and lotions. I tried these for a couple of months, but saw no improvement. The bumps were getting worse. I was so shocked that natural supplements had cured my skin disorder after prescription medications had failed, that I then turned my full attention to fixing the other thing bothering me—my weight.

Like many, I realized one day that I was 30-40 pounds overweight – those extra, unwanted pounds had unfortunately snuck up on me over the years. I had once been active, working out, teaching aerobics and playing sports like tennis, swimming and Muay Thai.
